On Friday 21st October, we were pleased to welcome Dr Matt Rigby and colleagues, to present their webinar entitled ‘OpenGHG – A community platform for greenhouse gas data science‘. This talk commenced our sixth ‘CDE Demonstrator Projects’ webinar series.
Evaluating the emission trends of greenhouse gases (GHGs) and ozone-depleting substances (ODS) is critically important for the management of, and adaptation to, changes in climate. OpenGHG is an open-source, cloud-based platform for researchers to create and share their data and analysis methods. This talk will describe how the OpenGHG team tackled the challenges associated with creating open and reproducible scientific workflows, standardisation of disparate data and models, and engaging the public and stakeholders with greenhouse gas data.
